KITTENS, KITTENS, KITTENS!

Kitten season is well and truly under way.    These pictures are just some of the kittens.  Some are in foster care at present but if you are interested in one - or even two, please call the shelter.

Lilly

Lilly came to the shelter very pregnant.  She is a very gentle cat, a tabby. She had five kittens on July29th

Peter

Peter is pure white with blue eyes (part Siamese, maybe).  He was left in the drop-off cage.  He is a friendly cat.

Louie

Louie is a very handsome guy.  He is a gentle cat and loves a cuddle.  Louie has a green ear from his tattoo when he was neutered.

Louie has been neutered

Jazzy

JAZZY HAS BEEN ADOPTED

She will stay with us until her kittens are weaned.

Jazzy was found on the street and was almost run over.  Someone stopped and brought her in to the shelter.  She is young and looks well cared for.  Do you recognise her?

No one has claimed Jazzy.  We have since learned that she was pregnant when she arrived at the shelter.  She is only about 10 months old so this will be her first litter of kittens.

Jazzy has four lovely kittens, three tabby like Mom and one black.  Jazzy is also looking after a kitten that had no mother.

Minxie ADOPTED and Rossco

These two beautiful cats are sisters and are three years old.  They have both been spayed and their vaccinations are up to date.  Their owner had to give them up because of the new baby's allergies (supported by a letter from the doctor).  It would be great if these two girls could stay together.  They would be great house cats.

Minxie and Rossco have been spayed

Magic and Morocco

These kittens are about 8 weeks old.  Magic is male and Morocco is female.

Mack, Major, Mickey and Mooshoo

These four little ginger fellows came to the shelter together.  They are about 10 weeks old and very sociable.  They love to play.  They are have been neutered.

ALL ADOPTED

These little boys have all been neutered

Heidi and Hank

BOTH ADOPTED

Heidi and her kitten, Hank, were left on Christy's doorstep and she found them when she was leaving to go to work.  They are now settling in at the shelter.

Heidi has been spayed

Oscar RETURNED TO OWNER

Louie is about 5 or 6 months old.  He is a handsome fellow and loves to play.  He was found in the area of the Lions ball park.  He has been neutered and has a tattoo.

Kandi  ADOPTED

Kandy is a 10 week old bundle of energy.  She is a very playful kitten.  Kandy is going to be spayed very soon.

Kandi ihas been spayed

Jerry  ADOPTED

Jerry is about10 weeks old and is very playful.

Jerico  ADOPTED

Jerico was found in a car.  He is about 6 weeks old and is in foster care.  He is frightened of people but will learn to trust.  Jerico is black with a little white "shirt".

Spuds  ADOPTED

Spuds was found as a tiny kitten and was bottle fed.  When he was old enough the person who found him brought him to the shelter.  Spuds is a very playful kitten.

Marbles  ADOPTED

Marbles was left in the drop-off cage outside the shelter with two half grown kittens.  Marbles was pregnant again.  She had four beautiful kittens, all of which have been adopted.  Marbles was a fantastic mother and now deserves a forever home of her own.

Marbles has been spayed

Dusty  ADOPTED

When Dusty was brought to the shelter she was pregnant.  We don't know when she is due to have her kittens but if you could foster her she would really appreciate it.  If you would like to adopt Dusty you could bring the kittens to the shelter after they are weaned.

Dusty has been spayed

Otis  ADOPTED

Otis was adopted but he didn't get on with the other cats in the home.  He needs a home where he is the only cat.  He is about a year old and has been neutered.

Otis has been neutered.

Rainbow ADOPTED

Rainbow is about a year old.  She is a very unusual colour, different shades of brown.  She is a dilute calico.  She is a friendly cat.  Rainbow was adopted but had to come back because of allergies.  While she was with the family they said she was a wonderful cat.  Please, could someone give her a forever home?

Rainbow has been spayed.

Dusty's kittens ADOPTED

These three kittens are looking for forever homes.  One is grey, just like Mom, one is black and the other is tabby.  They are ready to be adopted.

Suki  ADOPTED

Suki was left in the drop-off cage outside the shelter.  Whoever left her made sure her medical records were with her.  Suki has been spayed and her shots are up to date.  She is two years old.

Suki has been spayed

Gwen  ADOPTED

Gwen arrived at the shelter very pregnant.  We are anxiously awaiting the new arrivals.  Gwen is a quiet cat.  She is beautifully marked, a dilute calico.  When she has had her kittens and weaned them she will be available for adoption.  Would anyone like to foster Gwen?  If you could please call the shelter.

Gwen has 5 beautiful kittens.  They were born on April 23. ADOPTED

Daisy ADOPTED

Daisy was very frightened when she was left in a box outside the shelter.

Daisy is less frightened and her picture doesn't do her justice.  She is a very pretty cat.  She now enjoys a cuddle but is a bit  wary of people.  We think she was abused but when she gets a forever home she will be much happier.

Marbles' kittens ALL ADOPTED

All four of Marbles' kittens have been adopted.

Tetley  ADOPTED

Tetley is a friendly orange cat. He is a quiet lad and loves to be brushed. He is about a year old and he has been neutered.

Ebony  ADOPTED

Ebony is a very lovable black cat.  He is very friendly and loves to be cuddled.  He has been neutered and has all his shots.  He is two years old.  He would do best in a home where he is the only cat because he is a bit nervous of other cats.  He would be a great cat for an older person.

Frannie

RETURNED TO OWNER

Frannie was found on Main Street.  She has been well cared for.  Is she your cat or do you know who owns her?  She wasn't very happy about being at the shelter.

Paige and Sage    ADOPTED

These two kittens were left in the drop-off cage outside the shelter when it was very cold.  They  were left with Marbles who we think is their mother.   Paige is a girl and Sage is a boy and they are about six months old.

Gizmo  ADOPTED

Gizmo was rescued by a kind person who saw him being tormented by some children.  He is a bit nervous but is overcoming his fear of people.

Gizmo has been neutered.

"Scat Cat" ADOPTED

Courtesy listing.

Scat cat is under a death sentence.  He is currently at another SPCA which doesn't have a no-kill policy.  He has a week to live!  That facility say they will have him neutered and pay for his shots if someone will give him a home.  If you can help please email goldieis@shaw.ca

Iggy and Ziggy  ADOPTED

Iggy is a Bulls-eye Tabby with dark markings.  Ziggy, her sister, is a brown tabby.  They are about three or four months old.
