Alou
Alou is approximately 8-10 weeks old, she is a very sweet puppy and loves any attention she can get. Alou has had her first set of vaccines and is now available for adoption.
Lola was found wandering with Alou, she is a little more spunky and there is a good chance that despite their differences they may be sisters. Lola has also had her first set of vaccines and is also available now.
Angel is a nine month old lab/terrier cross. She is very timid and really takes her time coming around. Angel will need a home with someone experienced in rehabilitating abused animals as she is afraid of people. With time and TLC Angel will make a very sweet, loyal companion. Angel has had her first set of vaccinations.
Jack
Jack came to the shelter due to very unfortunate circumstances. No owner has come forward so the decision was made to amputate Jacks front leg as there was no way to repair the amount of damage he sustained. Jack has the best personality, even with everything he has endured, he still greets everyone with a big smile and a tail that never stops wagging. He is only about a year old and will be vaccinated as soon as he recuperates from surgery, Jack is being fostered by our amazing veterinarian and can be seen by appointment, please contact the shelter to set up a time, this little guy deserves a good home.
Bucky is approximately a year old, he is a lab cross and has a very handsome face. Bucky is very playful and he has been taught some manners he is a lot of fun to have around. Bucky will be seen by the vet this week to have his vaccinations and check up, he will then be ready to go.
Tanner
Tanner is about eight months old, she is a beautiful husky/shepherd cross and her markings are very pretty. She is very lively and would do best in a home with lots of activity as she loves to run and play. Tanner is great with other dogs and loves to be around kids, she will also be checked and vaccinated this week.

Hunter is approximately a year old, he is a shepherd/husky cross, and is neutered. Hunter is very laid back and loves to have his ears rubbed. He is social and great with kids.

This little fellow was found at the side of the highway. He is about eight weeks old. He wasn't too impressed about having a bath! However he has settled well and is a very friendly fellow.

These two dogs were found wandering in town after Rodeo weekend. They are very friendly dogs but have not been leash trained. We are working on that. Pansy came into heat while with us and we believe it was her first so we estimate these dogs to be about 9 months old. They seem to have been together for some time and may even be brother and sister. They are smaller dogs. Pansy was adopted but came back to the shelter, not because she was naughty but because she was frightened of the large man. Maybe she was abused by a man in the past. It would be great if these two dogs could be adopted together.

Sadie is nine months old. She is a Shepherd X. Sadie was not treated very well and had little human contact so she needs a special person to help her. She learns fast and is becoming more sociable. She would love a home where she will be part of the family.

Sheba is a very affectionate loving dog who needs a home with lots of space and a big yard. She is about 1.5 years old and was adopted from the Pincher Creek Humane Society in September 2007. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep her at this time as we are moving to Medicine Hat. She has had all her shots and has been spayed. She is house broken and has passed her “chewy” stage. She is great with other dogs and children over 10 (I am just afraid she might jump up on a smaller child and knock him/her down). She responds to “sit”, and comes when you call her name. We are still working on the game of “fetch” as she doesn’t quite bring the ball back. She requires a lot of attention and loves to have her tummy rubbed. These four puppies were found by a dumpster in Foothills Trailer Park. They were only three to four weeks old, much too young to be away from their mother. However they had a vet check and were declared fit and healthy. They are being fostered but can come to the shelter most week days. Turbo is a little boy, the rest are girls. They are very lively puppies and have very unusual eyes, some are blue. If you would like to see them, give Christy a call and arrange a time.

Sam is an older small dog. He is about eight years old and very friendly. When his owners moved house they left him behind in the basement with their cat. The new owners found the animals when they moved in three days later. They kept the cat but couldn't keep Sam. He would love a forever retirement home although he is still a lively lad and very loving despite his ordeal.

Duchess and Duke have gone to Pound Rescue in Okotoks where they will have a better chance of finding a home.

Karma was found in the area of Summerview. She is a young collie X (with a little husky because she has one blue eye). She is a gentle girl and loves people. She is about a year old. She would love a home where she will get lots of exercise. We suspect Karma may have been used to riding in a truck because she watches trucks pass when she is being walked.

Barkley was found on the edge of town. He was very dehydrated and hungry and had to spend time at the vet's. However he has made a full recovery. Barkley is about 8 weeks old.

Mocha was found with her puppy by some children. She is only about 8 months old. She was very hungry but cares well for her baby. She is a smaller dog. She is a gentle, friendly little girl and rather shy. She would love a kind home where she feels safe when her puppy has been weaned. Minnie is about 6 weeks old. Mocha will go to her new home when Minnie is weaned.

Glenda was found in the Glenwood area. The person who found her kept her for a week trying to find her owner but was unsuccessful so brought her to us. She is about 10 months old and is golden lab/retriever with some husky. She is a friendly girl and loves to play. She is good with people and other dogs. Glenda was adopted but her owners didn't have time to train her and kept her tied up. Glenda needs a forever home where she will get love and attention. Glenda has a beautiful smile!

Maverick is a standard poodle, neutered, six years old. His owner passed away suddenly. Maverick is a lively fellow who loves to play. He knows commands like 'sit' and 'down'.

Kookie was found wandering in town. As no one claimed her within the legal time limit she is available for adoption. She is red heeler X (maybe corgi?). She is adult, maybe four years old and she is very friendly. Kookie is a smaller dog but has lots of energy.
Jupiter is a big girl, about a year old. She is a lab X. She is very friendly and would love to have a forever home. She was found out of town and her owner could not be found. Jupiter is learning to walk on a leash and to sit. She is very lively but eager to learn. Jupiter has taken well to training and although she is still very boisterous, is a fast learner.
Jade was found on Hwy 22 eating a carcass with Joker who has been adopted. She was very sick when she was brought to the shelter but soon got well with medication for an upset stomach. It isn't surprising that she was unwell considering whet she had been eating! Jade really deserves a loving home where she will get lots of attention and exercise and where she will be trained.

Penny is an eleven month old miniature schnauzer. She was given away by her owner and the person who took her found that he couldn't manage another dog and the original owners didn't want her back. She is a bright girl who needs a forever home.
Vigo is a husky X, a very handsome fellow with unique markings. He is nine months old, has been neutered and has had all his vaccinations. The person who rescued him couldn't keep him but said he was a great dog. Vigo is good with children, he walks well on a leash and sits on command.

Joey is a black lab/golden retriever X. He is a year old, has been neutered and his vaccinations are up to date. Joey's owner had to give him up because he didn't have time to exercise him. Joey is a very lively fellow and loves to play. He had trouble sitting still for his photo!

Annie is a collie X. She was found by the Oldman dam and she was in a bad way. Her coat was full of burrs but after many hours of grooming she is a lovely dog. Annie is about a year old and is a very gentle girl. She loves people, especially those who will give her a tummy rub!

Bain is a shepherd X, about a year old. Bain was impounded by the RCMP when they found some youths trying to run over him with a truck. He is now available for adoption. He is a very friendly, lively lad and after what he has been through he deserves a loving home.

Joker dogs were found on Hwy 22. He was very hungry and was eating a carcass. Joker is about a year old. He has settled down and has been to the vet for his check. He got medication for upset tummy and is now well again. This dog deserves a loving home.

Inca's mother and brother were killed on the highway. Inca was very frightened. She is about 12 weeks old and is in foster care where she will need a lot of TLC before she can be adopted. She is just beginning to trust people and it will be a while before she is ready to go to her forever home.
Ivan was found by the RCMP by the highway on May 10. He was only four or five weeks old and would not have survived much longer on his own. He was taken to the vet for a check-up, had some treatment and was declared healthy. Ivan is in foster care and won't be ready for adoption for a few weeks yet. If you think you could give this little guy a home when he is ready please call the shelter.
Duke is a Great Dane/Retriever X. He is two and a half years old and has been neutered. He is a very laid back fellow and is good with children and other dogs. He walks well on a leash and is house trained. He is smaller than a Great Dane so don't let size put you off. He would be a good family dog.

Cory is presently at Pincher Creek Veterinary Clinic where she was treated for frostbite after she was left outside. She is now fully recovered and desperately wants a home where she will be well cared for for the rest of her life. Cory is a miniature poodle and she is 11 years old. Kala is a border collie. She is nine months old and is a very friendly girl. She is good with children and loves to play. As she is a border collie she lots of needs exercise.

Oscar is a three year old black lab X. His owner had to give him up because her landlord would not allow pets. Oscar was frightened when he came to the shelter but is becoming a lovely dog. He loves to play and likes to be with people. He enjoys his walks but needs more work on leash training. However he is a quick learner.
Jake is a black lab. He was born on April 8, 2007 so is just a year old. He is a friendly fellow and loves to play. Jake has been neutered and comes with all his medical records.
Bella is a order collie. She is 10 months old and is a very lively girl. She will need lots of exercise and a fenced yard.
Elmo is a small dog, a terrier X. He is about 18 months old and has been neutered. He is very friendly and loves car rides. He likes long runs and playing ball. He can sit, give a paw and walks well on a leash. Elmo is a free spirit and likes to escape so a fenced yard is essential for him.
