Adoptable Dogs

All dogs from PC Humane Society are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (including rabies), dewormed and microchipped before they are adopted to their new homes.

Dean is a mastiff mix, approx 1.5 year old male and is a big boy, coming in at 100 lbs. He is in foster currently as he gets quite anxious in shelter. In foster he is a completely different dog and enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings, will sometimes try to chase the cat because he wants to play with them too so a cat in the home who is used to dogs is okay. He is kennel trained and house trained. Enjoys going for walks but gets extra speedy when he knows he's close to home since at his heart he is a homebody.

Annie is a kengal mix, approx 4 years old. She requires an owner with experience with guardian breeds as she does have a stubborn streak in her. She is affectionate with those she knows and trusts. She is a big girl (definitely hitting that 100 lb mark) and her owner must be confident around her and for her. She LOVES to swim and go for walks. She is dog selective but seems to ignore cats when they wander by on her foster day trips. Annie has had professional training in a boarding situation and knows her commands like the back of her paw. She is a lovely girl who just hasn't found her right fit yet. A fenced larger property with some privacy/seclusion would be a wonderful fit for this girl but we realize is a big ask.

Herman is our middle aged Rottweiler mix. He is a gentle giant who takes his job of letting everyone know he is there seriously (aka, he pees on everything outside.) He is not really interested in other dogs but will not put up with rude behaviour. He is not tested with cats. Herman is tiptoeing around 100 lbs. He came in very underweight but has quickly filled out with regular meals. He does have a slight tendency to resource guard due to his food insecurity days but is improving as he learns that it is now a constant in his life. Due to this, we would not recommend small kids in the home.

Luna is a large breed, likely Anatolian Shepherd mix who is around 2.5 years old. She loves people, knows some basic commands, is crate trained and house trained. She is very puppyish in nature and has some anxiety and will do best with someone who is home often or willing to take her with them. She is working on her leash walking skills with our amazing dog walkers. She is not tested with cats, and is selective with dogs . Due to her size and exhuberant nature, a home without small children will likely be best.

Sunny is a female pyranees mix, approx. 5 years old. She loves people and has pretty decent recall. She is working on her leash walking manners with our volunteer dog walkers. She has mostly lived outside for her entire life but would likely adapt well to inside as she enjoys being with people and does not like soiling her inside kennel. She has a high prey drive so no small animals or cats in her home is a must. She has an adorable freckle on her tongue that just adds to her character, which she has a lot of.

Trandor is an absolutely lovely medium sized dog. A young adult male who is a little uncertain at first but opens up quickly, he will make someone a great family pup. He seems to get along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to play with. He is untested with cats but doesn't seem to be too interested. This sweet boy was found roaming in town with no ID and nobody claimed him so he is now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and ready for his new life!

We do our best to keep the web page updated but with the influx of animals this year it has been harder. We do keep our Facebook updated almost daily
