All dogs from PC Humane Society are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (including rabies), dewormed and microchipped before they are adopted to their new homes.
Heading off to a Foster to Adopt!! Fingers crossed! Willow is a 3 year old lab mix, medium sized female. Willow is pretty much a turn key dog, she is house trained, is good with kids, respective of cats with proper introductions and knows basic commands. She loves going for car rides, walks and is just looking for a wonderful family to call her own. She is dog selective from past behaviours we have seen but as long as the other dogs are respectful of her and her space she is happy.
Annie is a 3 year old Kangal Shepherd mix. She has been in foster for a little bit now and looking for a large property or acreage of her own to protect. She has received professional training, is respectful of horses and other large livestock. Annie is friendly with kids but sometimes forgets that she can't use her paws to communicate so the extra tiny humans might get toppled over.
Vanilla is a husky mix female, approx 10 months old with lots of spice for life. She is one of 6 in her litter and one of the more dominant of the group. She knows some basic commands, is food motivated and learns quickly. Vanilla would probably shine as the only dog in her household, though she does get along with some dogs. We do not believe she will be good with cats. She is very active and is not entirely aware of her size so small children might get bumped over.
Dean is a shepherd mix, approx 1.5 year old male. He is in foster currently as he gets high anxiety in shelter. In foster he is a completely different dog and enjoys playing with his foster dog siblings, will sometimes try to chase the cat because he wants to play with them too so a cat in the home who is used to dogs is okay. He is kennel trained and house trained. Enjoys going for walks but gets extra speedy when he knows he's close to home since at his heart he is a homebody.
Chai is a female pup from Matcha's brood. She is approx 3 months old, full of spunk and will pick your pockets if you aren't paying attention. She is a lovely pup and ready for her new family.
Cocoa is one of the outgoing ones in her litter and usually leads the charge. She is approx 3 months old, shepherd mix who clamours for pets and enjoys quiet snuggles as well. She is currently in foster with kids and another dog and doing really well. She will need an appointment made to meet.
Luke is a young stud muffin (even though he is neutered), approx 1 10-12 months old and is ready for his new start! He was found with a merry group running around the dam area and was brought in by good samaritans, one of whom adopted his sister, Leia. Luke is a big sweet heart, a little jumpy but eager to please. Very food motivated and just a 10/10 good boi.
Rudy is a male shepherd mix approx 7 months old who was found on the side of the highway with his sister, Noelle. He is a spunky pup who gets along with other dogs with proper introductions. He is not tested with cats. He will need some work on his manners but is an eager to please boy. He loves going on walks with our dog walkers and will make someone a wonderful companion. Older kids is probably best as he is not fully aware of his size.
Rose is a lovely girl who is currently in foster. Her foster parents can't say enough good things about this sweet girl who is approx 10 months old, husky mix. She is not overly toy/fetch motivated but loves to bring you a toy to greet you hello! She is mostly house trained with a schedule, lives harmoniously with cats and gets along well with other dogs. She loves being with her people and has a bit of FOMO that her fosters are helping reduce with kennel training.
Caramel is a beautiful cream husky mix, approx 10 months old. She is active, loves running in the yard and going for walks with our dog walkers. She can be dog selective and is more dominant in nature. She is food motivated and learns quickly. An active outdoor family with no cats and probably older kids would suit her best just because she is not very aware of her size, needs to work on some basic manners and might knock smaller humans over by accident.
This fluff ball with pom poms on her head is Comet. She loves going for walks, meeting new friends, snuggling with all the people and just is all around adorable! Comet is approx 6 months old, rottweiler mix. Moon is her Mom and she has her wonderful temperament. Comet is currently in foster and will need an appointment to meet. Probably going to be medium sized like her Mom.
Juniper is on a Foster to Adopt trial! Fingers Crossed!! Juniper is a husky mix female, approx 10 months old who is a little more on the timid side. She needs a gentle person to guide her into new things and show her that everything will be okay. She is currently in foster and is doing well with other dogs, cats and horses. She is a pup that with proper introductions would probably be okay with smaller children as she is not overly jumpy.
Toddy is the biggest of Matcha's crew and a little goofball. Male shepherd mix, approx 3 months old. He is usually near the back of the pack until he is comfortable and then he's all in.
Cider is the odd one out in this litter and makes us think Dad may have had some boxer in him. She has the sweetest little boxer shaped face. She is lovely, attentive and playful, all the things a puppy should be. She is approx 3 months old and one of Matcha's puppies.
Han Solo came in with Luke and is the more nervous of the group but his confidence is growing daily. He gets so excited when he gets the visits but is so good at keeping his 4 paws on the floor and not jumping to show his enthusiasm. He is food motivated, very people oriented and is a beautiful brindle boy. Shepherd mix. approx 1 year old and ready to explore the galaxy.
On a Foster to Adopt trial! Fingers crossed! Milo is young pup who came in significantly underweight. He is approx 5-6 months old and is a shy guy who wants all the love but needs some time to get comfortable. Best guess is a heeler x with that blue nose and spots. He will need a gentle person who will give him the time to adjust to his new home and help him explore the world.
Bradley is a young shepherd x who's ears haven't decided what they want to do yet. He is approx 6 months old, very food motivated and trainable. He is an adorable goof who just wants to please. He hates messing in his kennel and will probably be easy to house train.
Moon is what we in the shelter universe call a "unicorn." She is house trained, knows basic commands, is not overly jumpy, gets along well with other dogs, is not overly interested in cats and just really is looking for a bed on the floor with her name on it. She has a beautiful temperament, is relatively calm and quiet. She was in foster for a bit and her foster Mom had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Moon is a rottweiler mix, approx 2 years old, medium build but stocky.
Bernice is a little ham who is quick to smile to show you how happy she is. She is a little timid but willing to go on adventures with some gentle guidance. Bernice is coming up on a year old and is a husky mix. She has 5 other siblings in care and gets along with other dogs. She does not seem interested in cats and could probably co-exist with proper introductions.
Matcha has found her new home but we wanted to put her on the website since her puppies are still looking and it's nice to see what Mama looked like when adopting a puppy. Matcha has a very sweet nature and gave everything she had to these pups to give them the absolute best start.
Mocha is one of Matcha's pups and is approx 3 months old. He is a shepherd mix, will probably be on the large side of medium/small side of large when fully grown. He is a sweet trouble maker who loves attention, eating, and getting all the attention he can. He plays with his siblings and toys and would love a family of his own.
Noelle is sister to Rudy. She is approx 7 month old shepherd mix. Noelle and Rudy were found on the side of the highway and were brought in by a good samaritan. She is a sweet young pup who loves attention, walks and all the scratches behind the ears. She snuggles herself into your side when you sit down with her. She is ready and waiting for her new home.
