ELTON
Regrettably, this wonderful dog is no longer with us. The Pincher Creek Humane Society is so appreciative of the wonderful foster parents who allowed Elton to live out the rest of his days in a loving environment.
Below is what was written for Elton when he first came to the Pincher Creek Humane Society:
I took you on knowing we were going to have to take extra care of you.
Knowing that one day you weren't going to make it outside in time to use the bathroom, and I would have to clean it up.
I knew one day I was going to have to carry you up the stairs when you no longer have the strength to do it.
I knew you were going to eventually lose your hearing and eyesight and we were going to have to spend extra money to make the house safer for you.
I knew one day I am going to have to say goodbye to you.
But until then, you are the best gift we have gotten, and I'm really sad that we could not have given you the best years you deserved, but we PROMISE you'll have a great life from now to the day we all have to say goodbye!
The Pincher Creek Humane Society is looking for anyone interested in sponsoring any part of the care of the animals in our care, such as the specialized diet, veterinary care, and any supportive care that might require for the rest of life's journey.
This could be a wonderful opportunity for someone that maybe loves dogs/cats, but cannot have one of their own. If you are interested in sponsoring an animal, please email: info@pinchercreekhumanesociety.org, or call the shelter (403-627-5191) to make an appointment.
